Doctor Who Meetup Update - March 2024
Spring's coming just around the corner, and our meetup has made some big plans (with more currently in process).
Our kickoff will be an outside (and yes, paid) event. Next week is Gordon's (our lead organizer's) birthday, and we're capping off that week with a field trip to Raks Geek's March performance. Yes, it is a paid, in-person event...but it's a great celebration. You can order tickets via Eventbrite.
We're celebrating the end of Lent (and the start of Easter) in a very unique way. Please join us on Saturday, March 23rd at 1:30 pm CST as we listen to the Fifth Doctor Big Finish story The Council of Nicaea. This early selection has some critical -and timely - themes, and we encourage you to RSVP via Facebook and Meetup for this unique and lively event.
For those who are new (or new-ish), have been attending the meetup for some time, or just need to catch up, our upcoming virtual social is a must-attend. Join us on Thursday, April 11th at 7:00 pm CST via Zoom for a lively evening...and you can let us know (and get Zoom information) via Facebook and Meetup!
We're also proud to announce that we're holding not one, but two Cosplay Congregations heading into summer! In April, we'll be holding one to close out C2E2! If you're attending, you can join us on Sunday, April 28th at 2:15 pm. We're also partnering with Blue Box Cafe for another Cosplay Congregation on Saturday, May 25th. Mark your calendars, and details will be forthcoming!
