The Department of Treasury has sent notices to thousands of Virginians who are owed money and mailed $2.5 million in unclaimed money this week as part of new legislation passed by the General Assembly which requires the state to return unclaimed property valued up to $5k, via WRIC.

There were seven dog attacks on Richmond mail carriers and 157 in the state of Virginia last year, from WTVR. Local mail carrier Jeffrey Kozol said:
I've never been bit. There has been some times where dogs have actually broken glass by the doors if they have glass windows on the side doors that the dog did break glass. However, the owner was home and was able to secure the dog. I've had a dog chase me down the street. I don't want to use my dog spray, but if I have to, I will.
There will be a gathering today at Abner Clay Park at 6:00 pm to rally “against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations and in solidarity with workers protesting federal raids in Los Angeles”, according to RVAMag. A “No Kings” protest is also planned for Saturday at Capitol Square at 5:00 pm, with a march to Kanawha Plaza afterwards. A number of speakers will be featured including State Senator Ghazhala Hashmi.
The Virgina Musuem of Fine Arts Shop Tent Sale takes place today and tomorrow from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with items listed at “deeply discounted” prices.
