Sludge Cleaning, Greek Food, and a Desire to Bike Again

The boil water advisory was lifted yesterday afternoon, and city officials have admitted that human error was a factor in the clogging of filters, after previously saying cloudy water upstream was the main factor.
The director of the Department of Public Utilities, Scott Morris, has stated that the cleaning of sludge on plates in the basin will now be done on a regular basis, which had not been done since March prior to the failure of the system.

Two local restaurants, Beaucoup in the Fan and Cochiloco in Scott’s Addition made the list of Southern Living’s 20 best restaurants new restaurants in the South, via WRIC.
The principal of Mary Munford Elementary School, Greg Muzik, is making a remarkable recovery two and a half months after getting struck by a vehicle while riding his bike on Patterson Avenue, via WWBT. Muzik said he recalls signaling with his left hand that he was making a turn off Patterson, a route he says he rides everyday. He is currently in a wheelchair but is able to walk short distances with a walker, and says he plans to once again ride a bike one day, noting he will have turn signals on his next bike.
The 47th annual Greek Food Festival continues through Sunday at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, located at the corner of Grove and Malvern Avenues.
