Restaurant Week, Buzzball, and a Pygmy Goat
Cheers RVA!
Today we’ll see a mixture of clouds and sunshine with a high of 83 and a low of 66, with a small chance of evening thunderstorms. The week ahead looks a tad cooler with highs in the upper 70’s.

The spring version of Richmond Restaurant Week begins today and runs through April 27.
Enjoy a three-course meal from one of a few dozen locally owned restaurants for just over $35, with $5.25 of each meal going to support hunger relief in the area.
Feedmore is a local nonprofit that coordinates a number of hunger-relief programs, including Meals on Wheels, the Kids Cafe, Mobile Pantry and weekend BackPack program.
Richmond Restaurant Week was first started in 2001 and has raised nearly $1.4 million over the years to support hunger relief.

the pulp:
More than 2k people showed up to a protest on Saturday at the Capitol Square, via Dave Ress at the RTD. Virginia 50501 organized the protest, saying it wants to defend “Medicaid; Medicare; Social Security; personal data in federal hands; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs; immigrants’ rights; veterans’ services; and the environment.”
A pygmy goat who currently resides in Carytown is stirring up controversy as he prepares to move to the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood Henrico, via WWBT. The Henrico Board of Zoning is set to decide on the zoning variance request on April 24.
the dive:
No charges will be filed against the driver who struck Mary Munford Principal Greg Muzik last month on Patterson Avenue, according to a press release from the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
The RPD Crash Team concluded the cyclist was attempting to make a left turn in front of a Ford Explorer traveling west on Patterson.
The press release states:
At the time of the crash, one car was parked in the designated parking lane. It could not be determined whether that vehicle created an obstruction to the sight line of the bicyclist or SUV driver. It also could not be determined whether the numerous bicycle lane and parking lane markings may have contributed to this collision.

Mr. Muzik continues to make progress in his recovery and is hoping to move to a patient rehabilitation facility soon.
