Richmond police have released photos of a suspect seen entering homes at night near the Museum district and Windsor Farms area, via the RTD.
Video of the masked burglar has been captured on several surveillance cameras.
Police are encouraging residents to keep their doors locked and security systems activated.

Siblings involved in an arson case at Lakeside Burger and Fries received a light sentence in Henrico County Circuit court in recent weeks, according to Mike Platania at Bizsense. Jordan Castaneda admitted to starting the fire in the restaurant in February of 2024, months after the outpost of Carytown Burger and Fries had been purchased and rebranded. Jordan Castaneda will serve three months of a ten-year sentence, with the rest of the time suspended, while his sister Shelby (who was not present at the time of the fire) had her entire ten-year sentence suspended. Both siblings were ordered to pay $191k in restitution.

Graham Moomaw from the Richmonder dives into some of the service cost increases in the Mayor’s budget proposal.
On-street parking would increase from $2.00/hr to $2.50/hr, with increases for parking in city-owned garages as well. Parking tickets would increase from $40 to $50.
Moomaw notes planned increases in recycling, trash pick-up, gas, water and wastewater, all of which are included in city utility bills, would add $13 to the average residential monthly bill.
Tax assessments are expected to grow at 6% this year, meaning an increase in real estate taxes as well.
