A man was shot and killed Sunday afternoon after an argument at the Foot Locker on the 1500 block of West Broad Street, via WTVR.
A suspect is in custody and police have said they are not looking for any suspects at this time.
There have been eight homicides in the City this year, as compared to ten at this time a year ago.

Dave Ress at the RTD reports more bills than ever died without a recorded vote during the shortened General Assembly session this year. All 100 House seats are up for election in November.

Girls Flag Football is coming to all RPS High Schools this spring, with the Washington Commanders hosting a clinic on March 22 at Huguenot High School, from South Richmond News.

Michael Phillips from the Richmonder dives into the rezoning process the city is currently undergoing with new zoning districts proposed at a recent open house.
Richmond’s zoning code has not been overhauled since 1977.
Phillips notes residential density remains a priority:
City Council allowed most homeowners in single-family dwellings to build an accessory dwelling unit starting in 2023, and the new code goes a step further by allowing duplexes on almost all residential lots, which the open-house materials said “allow for gentle increases in density.”
One other major change would allow more commercial use on the ground floor of multi-story apartment buildings in select areas, which will be referred to as “residential mixed use.
