Today will be partly sunny and much cooler, with a high of 51 and a low of 29. A freeze warning is in effect from Monday night to Tuesday morning. The rest of the week is expected to be mostly sunny, with highs approaching 60 later in the week.

Richmond city leaders announced on Friday that utilities would not be disconnected and late fees would be suspended during the month of November due to the ongoing Federal government shutdown.
The Salvation Army Inclement Weather Shelter has also opened early help residents stay safe and warm with upcoming overnight cold temperatures expected.

A 73-year-old man died weeks after getting struck by a GRTC bus while riding his bike on West Broad Street in Henrico County, via WTVR. The incident occurred along West Broad Street between Glenside Drive and Forest Avenue near the I-64 interchange. Police have stated neither drugs or alcohol are believed to be a factor in the crash and the driver of the bus is cooperating with the investigation.
