A water main break in Richmond at 7th and Canal streets caused water pressure to be reduced at the Church Hill Tank which affected residents in Henrico County, but officials say there is adequate supply and the water is safe to drink.
DPU work crews accelerated the timeline for repairing the break and began work Sunday evening.

Three separate deadly shootings occurred in Richmond over the weekend: a man was shot multiple times and killed early Saturday morning in the East End near MLK Middle School, and a woman was found suffering from gunshot wounds in Randolph near Hollywood Cemetery Saturday morning and later died, via WTVR. Also a man was shot and killed while driving on I-64 in Richmond early Sunday morning. There have been 28 homicides in the city so far this year, as compared to 26 at this time last year.
The Monument Avenue Commission is currently not actively working on any projects to reimagine the space, five years after the George Floyd protests which ultimately resulted in all of the Confederate monuments along the avenue being removed, according to Victoria Ifatusin at the Richmonder.
