Richmond is right in the middle of forecasts of snow vs sleet and freezing rain, so expect variable weather across the region. Roads are likely to ice over with temperatures dropping below freezing in the evening.
The NWS Winter Storm Warning extends to Wednesday afternoon. Be careful out there!

the dive:
John M. from South Richmond News reports the Jahnke Road Improvement project that is set to bring a shared-use path, sidewalks, and an extended median has been pushed back to 2027 at the earliest.
The project has been in the works for nearly two decades, and continues to see hurdles in development:
The project DID actually eventually go out for bid in late summer of 2024, but as both bids exceeded the project budget it was not awarded to either of the 2 contractors who put in bids. The project is set to be re-advertised this spring.
In the works since 2008 and once set to be completed by Winter 2018, this pushes the long-delayed project to 2027.
