AUGUST 29, 2022 - Area Plan, Board Appointments, and More
GENERAL HIGHLIGHTS
- Chattanoogans in Action for Love, Equality, and Benevolence (CALEB) is spearheading an effort to form a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) as part of the new South Broad development. CALEB is pursuing two agreements, on with Hardball Capital which will cover the stadium itself, and one with New City Development, the master developer for the surrounding area. I am in the process of scheduling an interview to learn more about the CBAs.
- Chattanooga Design Studio has announced its participation in Park(ing) Day 2022 on September 16. “Park(ing) day is a global, public, participatory art project launched by Rebar in 2005. It is a day where people across the world temporarily repurpose street parking spaces and convert them to tiny parks and places for art, play, and activism.” You can sign up to reserve a spot here.
