The September 2025 Cab Post
Undesirable roommates, witty stickers and a new print shop

Hello everyone! The several hundred wasps that have taken up residency in our pantry wall and myself greet you. We have lunch together, we exchange longing glances through the kitchen window (which is permanently closed—they make it in regardless) and generally have SUCH a good time. At least they work hard, and that's admirable.
Recap’
Thank you to everyone who came to the Gouttières et Gribouillis market. It was a great first edition, I met some great people and I can't wait to do it again!
For the GG market, I decided to make a series of stickers inspired by the kind remarks we sometimes hear at events. It sounds bad faith-y, but I assure you, I get a laugh out of it. I also redesigned the cool triangle/eye that adorns my girlfriend's skateboard. Is this the beginning of a brand? They're on sale here!

Speaking of slime, here is a poster that Benoît Mercier commissioned me for the Spécial d’Halloween des Mystérieux Étonnants.

Announcements
The most recent Canada Post strike caught me off guard, I won’t lie. I can't afford to close my shop, so I'll try to ship orders through other services for as long as the strike lasts. Thank you for your patience as I take this umpteenth slap to the face. While we're on the subject, I encourage you to check out this page that lists local artists who have online stores. Thanks to Windy & Wallflower for the initiative; we're swimming against the current, but at least we're swimming together.
US residents! I’ve set up an Inprnt shop to dodge shipping fees and tariffs and the ongoing Canada Post strike. I’ve put up a few prints for sale so go take a peek and order something nice for yourself ;)
Friendly plug
I'm inaugurating a new section, to plug things that are close to my heart, shamelessly. The band Videoville is launching their new album AND hosting a benefit concert at the downtown YMCA. The profits will go to the YMCA's various homelessness assistance programs, and that's very punk. Admission is free (with voluntary collaboration) and it's on October 4th, from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. All the info here!
This newsletter is and will ALWAYS be free. If you like what I do, I suggest visiting my online shop or hunting down my books at your favorite bookstore or library. The webcomic Utown is still online, completed and free—visit the website! I also share my illustrations, tips and tools, writings and thoughts on Patreon, using a monthly “pay what you want” method. Maintaining my little corner of the internet is a lot of work; any support or purchase is appreciated!
Thank you so much!!

Cool stuff
- I had an unforgettable visual and sensory experience at Steven Wilson's show at the Metropolis. Even though I'm just getting into his work but seeing really, really good musicians do really, really difficult things is always impressive.
- How to be a good literary citizen in seven easy steps.
Cool artist: Pedram Taghavi is the artist and animator behind Patty Slaps' animated spots. Their promo and branding is so cool that I actually asked the cashier for an extra branded, take-out bag once. Check out his website!

Wisdom of the month:
“Every time you buy music on Bandcamp, follow an independent blog, or discover an artist through genuine human recommendation rather than algorithmic suggestion, you're participating in something bigger than music discovery—you're preserving music culture itself.”
