CVCM e-News 21st Dec

Hello, This CVMC e-News covers the period from now until the 11th of January. The odd error or omission might just have slipped in. Let me apologise in advance.  I will take this opportunity to thank you for all the kind words and encouragement received over the last three months and especially over the last weeks.  I also take this opportunity of wishing all the contributors as well as all readers a very Joyous and Blessed Christmas.  Rod S

The four nativity walking trails this year in the CVMC villages will be coming down during the week.  This weekend is your last chance to walk the trail in your Village or discover the trails in the other Villages.

Uffculme has the angel trail,

Willand - The animals tell the Christmas story,

Kentisbeare- has the Journey to Bethlehem,

Blackborough- follow the shepherd’s trail.

And while we are here….

Why not come along to the unique ‘Nativity in the Stable’ in the barn at Ponchydown, Blackborough on Sunday 21st Dec at 7pm

Reading through Matthew’s Gospel in Advent

The last chunk of Matthews Gospel will be read at 10.30am in St Mary’s Kentisbeare on Tuesday 23rd.  You are welcome to share in refreshments and in listening to this year’s Gospel – share in the reading too if you would like to.

This Friday, the 19th is the last chance to marvel at the Festival of Light in St Mary’s Church Uffculme with the trees lit from 3.30 to 7pm.

While you are there check out the Amnesty Christmas tree and take a last chance to write one or two cards to be sent to Prisoners of Conscience this year.  Well over 200 have been written so far.

Ladies of Willand meet for a meal and a social time together at a local hostelry, on Friday 19th December, at 6.30pm.  If you would like to join them, just email Chris Dodds at doddsy4203@gmail.com, so you can be sent the menu.

All ladies welcome, from wherever, Church members or not.
