Apologies
Hello CVMC e-News readers
I am aware some have asked what happened to last weeks mailing. Well, after a couple of weeks where the posting wasn't getting through to some email addresses, the whole posting was identified as spam and got no further than the server (the sorting office if you like) which handles the 'sparkey' email account.
I did try and open another account but that too identified the posting as spam.
I was told weeks ago I should be looking at a newsletter platform to host the service. So that's what I've done. It has resulted in climbing a steep learning curve and a lot of effort to upload email addresses uploaded and checked. That last part has resulted in a delay while all the addresses are verified as being good. (a sort of CRB check on email addresses to make sure they are genuine). That done we are, hopefully we are on our way.
I am going to have to find a different way of using the items which have previously been attachments to the e-News. All part of the retraining I guess.
Here's looking forward to getting the next e-News into your inboxes Thursday/Friday.
In the meantime, not to let an opportunity go to waste, if you are reading this on Wednesday evening, Tony tells me there’s Carol singing at the Ostler pub, Uffculme, tonight, Wednesday at 7.30pm.
