Special Prayer Requests
- Mark and Martha Herzer - Please continue to pray for Mark and Martha as they mourn the death of Martha's mom and adjust to life without her living with them. Continue to pray for Mark that the Lord would use his new medication to strengthen his heart. He is scheduled for a heart MRI on June 16th.
- Patty Carnes - Her hernia surgery is scheduled for Friday, July 24th. May the Lord help manage the pain until then.
- Jeff & Elena Kermah - May the Lord sustain them as they adjust to the various problems with water, electricity, and thunderstorms damaging critical electrical components.
- General Assembly - Terry Carnes will be traveling to Louisville, KY, on June 20th for a week. Please keep him in prayer as he represents us in the discussions and debates (which can be a bit of a challenge with his cognitive situation.) Also please keep Patty in prayer while Terry is gone.
Catechism Review
Don’t forget to keep up with your Westminster Shorter Catechism (WSC)! We are learning Q&A #59 this week:
Q. 59. Which day of the seven hath God appointed to be the weekly sabbath?
A. From the beginning of the world to the resurrection of Christ, God appointed the seventh day of the week to be the weekly sabbath; and the first day of the week ever since, to continue to the end of the world, which is the Christian sabbath.
Upcoming Events
June 17th - Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting via Zoom. We will read and discuss a passage in Jeremiah, and spend some time in prayer. Contact Pastor Mark or one of the elders if you would like to receive the weekly Zoom link.
June 22th-26th - General Assembly in Louisville, KY. Please pray that the Lord would guide and protect His church. Several issues will be coming to the table that would either have the potential to shore up our confessional standards or push the PCA in a more progressive direction.
Saturday, July 11th - Church Work Day - Mark your calendars and plan to join your church family as we look to take care of several needs around our church building. With a large variety of tasks, we should be able to find something for everyone to do. A pizza lunch will be provided!
