Special Prayer Requests

  • Mark and Martha Herzer - The surgeon does not feel that Mark's surgery is urgent. Therefore he is waiting to get the vascular doctor to sign off first. Mark will be seeing his surgeon again on August 8th. Surgery may not happen until the end of August or beginning of September. Please continue to keep Mark and Martha in prayer.
  • Patty Carnes - Her hernia surgery is scheduled for Friday, July 24th. May the Lord help manage the pain until then.
  • Jeff & Elena Kermah - They held their first worship service last Sunday. Twenty-three people attended (besides their family)! Pray for Jeff as he preaches and that the Lord would begin to gather together both those to be saved and those to grow in their walk with the Lord. Jeff asks specific prayer that God would raise up leaders from these students whom they can train, give them opportunities to serve with them in the work, and then send them back to their cities to plant churches.

Continue to pray for Elena and her health as she homeschools the older children.

  • Michelle Kellner - Her medical tests have been postponed until August 5th.

Catechism Review

Don’t forget to keep up with your Westminster Shorter Catechism (WSC)! We are learning Q&A #60 this week:

Q. 60. How is the sabbath to be sanctified?

A. The sabbath is to be sanctified by a holy resting all that day, even from such worldly employments and recreations as are lawful on other days; and spending the whole time in the public and private exercises of God’s worship, except so much as is to be taken up in the works of necessity and mercy.

Upcoming Events

July 22nd, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. - Hymn Sing at the Church - We will be having a time for fellowship, hymns, psalms, and dessert! If you are able, bring a dessert to share.
