Join us for worship this Sunday!

The Lord’s Table

Events this Sunday

10:45 AM: Elder Wayne Bowen will be leading us in worship and Pastor Ken Wendland will be preaching.

Sermon: "Our Merciful and Faithful High Priest"

Scripture: Hebrews 2:17-18

Lord's Supper – we will be partaking of the Lord’s Supper during the Morning Worship Service. According to the Westminster Shorter Catechism Q97, those of us preparing to receive the Lord’s Supper are to examine ourselves of our knowledge to discern the Lord’s body, of our faith to feed upon him, of our repentance, love, and new obedience; lest, coming unworthily, we eat and drink judgment to ourselves.

12:30 PM Adult Sunday School: Elder Terry Carnes will be covering “Contemporary Issues in the PCA: The Issue of Deaconesses” As this has recently become an issue in our Presbytery, Terry plans to look at some of the recent arguments put forward as well as look at what the Bible has to say about the subject.

Catechism Review: Don’t forget to keep up with your Westminster Shorter Catechism (WSC)! We will be learning Q&A #49 this month:

Q. Which is the second commandment?

A. The second commandment is, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me: and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

And don’t forget to keep reviewing the earlier questions!

Children Sunday School: Deb Bowen will be teaching children from 3 years on up, in the front Sunday School room.

Church Luncheon: Immediately following our Sunday School. All are invited. Plan to stay for food and fellowship.

We’ve been reminding you about changes coming in December, and December is here! For our first week of the month, not much is changed. We are asking those with last names beginning with A-H to bring a main dish & a side dish to serve 12 or more people. If you cannot bring anything, please still join us. In addition, we need help with clean up each week, so please pitch in!

An Ark for All of God’s Noahs Book Study - we will not be meeting this Sunday.

Upcoming Events

December 10 - Wednesday Night Bible Study via Zoom. We will read and discuss together a passage from Isaiah, and then spend some time in prayer. Contact Pastor Mark or one of the elders if you would like to receive the weekly Zoom link.

News and Announcements

Changes to Sunday Lunch - The elders have been discussing how we might simplify things for our families. The biggest change would be asking people to bring food only once a month.

  • 1st Sunday of the Month - Regular Lunch - A-H (modified)

  • 2nd Sunday - Church provides hotdogs, rolls, and condiments. Feel free to bring your favorite chips, etc.

  • 3rd Sunday - Regular Lunch - other half of the families brings food

  • 4th Sunday - Church provides hotdogs again

  • 5th Sunday - No lunch. A good chance to get together with others.

New Gutters Installed

Special Prayer Requests

  • Josie Herzer’s Memorial Service (today - Friday) - Please pray for safety for Mark and Calvin as they travel back tomorrow (Saturday) and that the Lord would use the gospel preached to open the hearts of friends and family members who do not know the Lord.

  • Kermahs’ Upcoming Visit - Jeff, Elena, and the kids are planning to visit the States. They are planning to live in a place in Hatfield beginning January 1, 2026. Special Need: Please pray as they are in negotiations for purchasing property in Ghana which could serve as a base for their future ministry.

Home Visitation: If you would like a home visit with Pastor Mark or one of the elders, email Pastor Mark to schedule.

Special Attention: Live Streaming will be available during each Sunday morning worship service beginning at 10:45 a.m. This is currently being hosted on the church’s Facebook page.

We also have a collection of sermons on Sermon Audio.

Peace and Grace to you,
Elder Terry Carnes
