February art from Carly A-F

Here is a recent piece I did as part of a charity poster show. All 30 artists donated their time & skills to create a poster for a festive horror film. I did ‘A Christmas Carol’, the 1937 adaption of Charles’ Dickens classic spooky tale. A mix of charcoal and digital paint, I wanted to capture Scrooge’s loneliness and isolation in the winter atmosphere, and show the first and final visit from the spirits.
The poster sale is on this week only, and every penny of profit goes to a good cause, to support the family of an artist in the community who sadly passed away recently.

I’ve also recently created a middle ages inspired tapestry for PREQUEL, an upcoming ttrpg. My piece was based on the theme of a legendary band of heroes facing a colossal evil, and the condition of the tapestry hints at their fate. A fun experiment with texture, and creating custom brushes to illustrate the threads of the tapestry.

And finally, GREASY SPOON, a fun halftone retro graphics project with New Mill Industries, card and box art for their latest release, inspired by vintage diner menus.

Thanks everyone! Hope you are all doing well.
