In the clip from episode 8 of the limited series, hospice nurse Amy (played by Paula Pell) shares a clear-eyed and compassionate account of what happens to the body in one’s final weeks and days:

The clip accurately covers many of the signs of dying that are mentioned in other kinds of medical literature, but demonstrates the way that presenting this information with sensitivity, humor, and humanity can make the end of life process less scary to patients and their loved ones.
