October 2025: Life in Osaka - Bryan's Briefing

Hey friend,
how have you been? I'm now in Osaka, the first month of my working holiday in Japan.

I felt weird to go to another new place, where I don't know the culture & norms, where I don't know the language, where I don't know anyone, again. So the first few days I here I did ask myself a lot why am I doing this, wouldn't it be much more comfortable to stay in Seoul, where I have my friends and know how things work, where I know life is amazing for me.

But always doing what I'm comfortable with is boring, and although there are many ways I could push myself I think experiencing life in other places is a good decision, it's exciting and valuable.

Wanted to post more content on social media, but irritated by the flood of AI slop, rage / emotion bait and the decisions of platforms themselves to become more toxic that I'd rather just distance myself from that and be happy with myself. Instead focusing on having a good life in Japan, working as a freelancer for a start-up and cleaning hostels. Now also instead of just being overwhelmed with not learning enough Korean I also want to learn Japanese, knowing Japanese in Japan makes a huge difference on life here, I think.

🌱 Cool Content I Made

Just one post this month, one I had actually written when I first left but was worried about sharing: Leaving Germany with 4000€ and no return
