May 2026: First Days in Melbourne - Bryan's Briefing

Hey friend,
I started my Working Holiday in Australia and my experience is a bit mixed. On the one hand, living in Melbourne is fun and I met many cool people. On the other, it reminds me a lot of Germany/England and the cost of living is quite high, especially without a job right now. I also caught a bad cold, so I've been trying to rest.

Finding work in Melbourne has turned out to be harder than I expected, especially anything related to my degree / current professional focus. There seem to be very few development, web design, or marketing opportunities here on a Working Holiday visa.

I also began applying for jobs back in Germany and the UK.
