June 2025 - Bryan's Briefing
Hey friend,
living in South Korea is amazing! Something I realise each time I come back. I have spent the whole month in Korea, but now I'm writing this mail on the flight to another country, on the way to Hong Kong. I won't be staying there though, I'll be going to Macau! For the next two months I have an internship in a place I haven't been to before.
Similar to Hong Kong, Macau is a special administrative region of China. It's a past Portuguese colony, and now known for its many casinos and tourism. I'm not planning on gambling away the few Macanese Pataca that I'll be earning for working on a research project at the University of Macao though.
On a different topic, I had planned to create more reels while in Korea about life in Korea, but didn't get to that. Trying to become a student at FernUni Hagen, a university that is public and 100% online, turned out to be a bit harder than I thought, maybe because my Code & Context B.Sc. is that unique. However, trying to find work online might work out for me, I've been in talks to create an app for someone.
Short update, I have now been in Macau for a few days, and it's definitely different from all places I've been to before. Culturally it's a very unique place. Will be writing more about it next month.
