Book & Paper Arts Calendar Updates - January 28, 2019
Hello everyone,
I hope you had a chance to observe the total super wolf blood moon eclipse on January 20th! I was able to watch it going in and out of the house and as it got closer to max. occultation I watched with a folding chair, a hoodie and binoculars. The great thing about this eclipse - I was able to share it with my older twin brothers who were in Texas and, of course, Bill! Turns out I missed a meteor smashing into the moon just after the earth's shadow completely covered the moon.
You know how you are on youtube and you start out watching one thing about tiny houses then on to how to ice cakes and looking at innovative kitchen gadgets you never knew you needed, back to tiny houses (I love love tiny things!) and 10 different ways to tie a tie and back to a tiny house with an elevator bed? Me, too! See the you tube tip below.
This is a document I created and uploaded to my dropbox account in the event you wish to look at the various organizations I check out for workshops. This is by no means a complete list as some organizations may have been left of and I am always finding new ones. This list also contains some resource and blog links but this is only a start!
Here's hoping you have the opportunity to take a workshop or 2!

Tip
If you find your brushes (paint or glue) or pens rolling off the table get yourself a chopstick rest. Easily available at Daiso, Mitsuwa, Tokyo Central and Main, Marukai, Uwajimaya (Portland, OR & Seattle, WA), etc.
Have you ever wanted to stop and start a youtube video before sending out the link? This way the receiver won't have to go through all the extraneous stuff before getting to the pertinent area. Here is how you do it. If your youtube URL is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzJB-hqZ2xQ remove the "watch?v=" and replace it with "embed/" and at the end add "?start=XXX&end=YYY" where XXX and YYY are in seconds. For example, the URL below is about 5 minute crafts but I just wanted to show how to tie a tie 10 different ways
Original URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzJB-hqZ2xQ
Modified URL: https://www.youtube.com/embed/VzJB-hqZ2xQ?start=729&end=944
