Book & Paper Arts Calendar Updates - January 23, 2020 [NPBAF and FOBA news!]
Hello everybody,
Happy New Year! FOBA 2021 call for proposals are out and due May 15, 2020 and NPBAF 2020 registration link will be available before 7pm on Feb 1, 2020 (please see Call for Entries below)! In the meantime I copied the NPBAF workshop list to my dropbox account for your perusal before signing up Feb 1, 2020! Decisions, decisions! Let me know if you are unable to get to the workshop list.
Due to a surgical procedure my husband has to go through on Jan 27 I had to cancel on attending Madeleine Durham's workshop in San Diego. I am hoping that someone else will get to attend this amazing workshop from the waitlist. In an effort to distract Bill and myself trips and get-togethers were scheduled with friends and family where there was lots of love, laughter and good food! I was lucky enough to attend Madeleine's workshop in Tucson at the beginning of January. On the way to and from Tucson we encountered 100 foot plus pinkish sand dunes on either side of the freeway (whose texture was like talc), clouds being ripped apart by the jetstream into downy feathers, a saguaro cactus giving me the finger as we entered Arizona (so I knew it was over 100 years old), the most stupendous sunsets that seemed to make everything take a breath and go quiet for a moment, an unsuspecting tourist getting jumped by a not-that-fuzzy-after-all cholla cactus, giant windmills lazily cartwheeling across the Ocotillo Hills. It was all very magical and I got to meet old friends and make new ones at the workshop (much anticipated and wonderful).
Hope to see you in a future workshop - Jade
