Book & Paper Arts Calendar Updates - February 20, 2020 [Hedi Kyle will be teaching at PBI]
Hello everybody,
Despite having it in my calendar to check the Paper Book Intensive (PBI) course catalog back in early January but having been a little distracted with Bill's surgery (he is doing amazingly well and we will be able to start traveling next month!) plus planning travel to distract us from his then impending surgery I still managed to forget to check! If I had checked earlier I would have noticed that Hedi Kyle and Ulla Warchol would be teaching a 4-day workshop in Saugatuck, MI (see Newly found workshops below - May 10 - 21). In reading the description it looks like Hedi never stops experimenting, never stops learning. I hope that some of you apply for the course and get in.
Another bit of news is that one of my favorite teachers, Vicki Montez, will be retiring this year. I believe she will have 2 more workshops one in April (I will be signing up for this one soon!) and the other in July/August. I have enjoyed my time tremendously in her classes not only for the content but also the camaraderie and always learning something new! I will miss getting together with my GCC family!
Reminder: Don't forget about getting in your proposals for FOBA 2021 in by May 15, 2020 and also consider volunteering. You don't have to live in the Portland area to volunteer.
Hope to see you in a future workshop - Jade
