Book & Paper Arts Calendar Updates - August 23, 2019
Hello everybody - I have been updating the workshop calendar more than once a week lately. To look for the latest workshops in the calendar just look for the light green entries. I have also updated the event title to include 2 asterisks (**) to make searching for them a little easier. The email updates will continue every 3 - 4 weeks (as you know less frequently when I am traveling).
Hope you have saved the date for Newport Paper and Book Arts Festival for 2020! The announcement shows April 16 - 20, 2020. Hmm ... an extra day on Thursday. More workshops! Time to start planning! They will have more information next month. Watch this bat space for that or look for the NPBAF entry in April 2020.
I am also attempting to tackle a few to dos on my list - writing up a tutorial on how to build a LEGO 90° jig (so you can keep the walls of the box you are building square or your drill bit straight) with pictures that I will make available in my Dropbox account. I know how to build that wall in my sleep but trying to get the tutorial to make sense is something else. Luckily there will be pictures and a quick video on YouTube (not me). Look for the Lego jig write up in a future update under the "All things paper/books/tips" section.
Here's hoping you have the opportunity to take a workshop or 2!
Sections below: Things to see or do/If you happen to be in the area; All things paper/books/tips; Upcoming classes (usually west coast or online); Newly found workshops; Housekeeping.

Newly found workshops are below and are light green entries in the calendar. To search for new entries look for the double asterisks (**). They may be happening tomorrow, within a week, or 11 months out! I encourage everyone to use the links in the calendar entries as a jumping off point to look for other workshops offered by that organization. If you wish to see a list of organizations from where I pull my information please click here to access the document in my Dropbox account. This list is always being updated as I find new organizations and instructors.
I am not listing any newly found workshops because I found almost 40 new workshops since the last update on July 27! Would you use the link above and search for the double asterisks ** or locate the light green entries?
