Setting Sail: Sometimes, if you play it correctly, disaster can be a gift. OR I share how unexpected challenges sparked our launch of Bold Kitten and a new journey into Pirate Magick!

Sometimes, if you play it correctly, disaster can be a gift. How else to explain how, after months and years of waiting, trying unsuccessfully to launch various things, Mike and I have launched two out of the three aspects of Bold Kitten within the span of two weeks and are extremely close to launching the third?
Burning bridges, can, as they say, be extremely motivating. And it does not seem to matter who does the burning.
It would be more of a tragedy, the words I heard the other day, the ones that slowly but surely destroyed my world, if it were not also for the fact that they Answered an Ask, a thing that I had to admit, even as I cried.
Things were broken, irretrievably so. Mike and I would have to move out of the place that had given us shelter for the last year and change, the place that we thought would give us shelter until we were ready to go.
Although, it is, really, just not the way we’d anticipated. That’s how it is sometimes – you think you know how a thing will go, and then events and the Universe alike show you just how wrong you were.
Not that this is always a bad thing. That’s another thing that isn’t always easy to know for sure. A thing you think is tragedy turns out to be a gift. A gift turns out to hold the seeds of tragedy within it.
You never know.
Not for sure.
One of the gifts of needing to leave here much sooner than later is that it is encouraging Mike and I to turn back to what we know in order for us to fly forward. In this case, our knowledge of the Wider World of Dreams and the Imagination, what some people call magick and psi.
We’ve been using them in our creativity for years, decades even. But fear has always held me back from sharing the hows and the whys.
Until now.
Until seeing how often the words Ask and Allow came out in advice to a friend r3ecently made me realize just how selfish I have been in allowing my fear to trump the need to have this information out in the World.
Abundance work does not and did not start with us, of course, but this way of looking at it – not even the other people at the channelling session where we were given the seeds of this work remember it.
That means something.
Duty.
Responsibility.
Desire.
All those, and more.
So it was that I had those thoughts on a Friday and by Monday, our amazing coach and copywriter was helping us to polish a sales page.
