Think of storytelling like going into a shop. You wander the aisles for a while, picking up this, choosing that, setting the other back down.
Once you’ve chosen and checked out, gone back home to make something with what you’ve chosen, you may find that not all the pieces fit.
So you go back and choose again. Selecting, mixing, remixing, until you have creations that speak to you, speak to others.
Then, that trip is done. Successfully completed. Finished works out into the world.
Time to shop again another day.
