Writing is oceanic in that it is huge, vast, nearly endless, full of almost unimaginable variety. Story our first and last breath and experience, curling around and through our lives from birth to death.
Writing is also oceanic in that it can be all too easy to drown in it if you are not careful. To succumb to the sharks of self-doubt, of ‘help-full’ others, of time and Stress Monsters and all the other things that can come between you and what you most desire.
Swim these oceans carefully, my dear writer, to swim them successfully.
But oh, what a prize when you have done.
