What does the other feel?
Creativity is about emotion and the transference of emotion. Whatever kind of Creativity you do, the question is: What emotions do you want to impart to your audience?
No matter what kind of Creativity you are into, the detection and understanding of emotion of others - Empathy - is a necessary ingredient in your creations.
Can you understand how others are feeling?
Going forward, make it your focus to be better at knowing how others are feeling.
Try it, you may find that it helps.

What matters is that you can feel what they feel.

Involve your people.
Emotion does that very well.
Make them live through you.
Emotion IS involving. That is the reason why people get involved in love stories. Or, horror stories for that matter.
No matter what kind of Creativity you do; writing, music, sculpture even, painting, photography, making movies, whatever it is - it has to hook your audience!
Ask yourself, how can you deliver emotion to your people through your Creativity? Then work on doing that more and more in your future work.
