Budapest to Berlin

20:55 Budapest--06:10 Munich
07:42 Munich--12:02 Berlin

Okay, I hold my hands up. It's a lot. Budapest was the site of a little unravelling on my part. This trip was definitely conceived of as another in a series of great unmoorings, but the effect this time is... unexpected. Some things are a little too fragile for swift words. So instead, here are a few things that are percolating.

Birthday Benjo - Ben turned 28 yesterday. An important ticking over on this trip, because it means he's no longer an interrail 'youth'. He now has to pay big boy prices like the rest of us. He made the absolute most of his pre-birthday night in Budapest, gathering a cast of couchsurfers to a ruin bar for shenanigans.

A study in contrasts - Last time I took the train across parts of Europe, it was summer. Even the sleepers provided some views for a time before the sun set late. This time, we've mainly been travelling in the dark. We've also mainly been staying in dorms in hostels. I am, of course, now craving solitude and being awash with daylight.

The entrance to my co-working space, Budapest

Not sight-seeing - working throughout this trip has enabled me to have the unexpected privilege of seeing co-working spaces far more than tourist spots. A boon and a joy. The trip is a peculiar hybrid of working-visiting-touristing-missingdowntiming. More on that, but later.

Incubator under construction, Berlin

That's all from a lass that's right now good for glue.
See you in Brussels. xx
