Top 10 Albums of 2025

Sextile cover for Yes, Please

It took a minute, but I finally managed to narrow down my favorite albums of 2025 into a top 10 list. The number one pick, Yes, Please by Sextile, was obvious because it spawned two of my top 10 bangers for this year and, realistically, there will probably be a few more tracks from the album to turn up in my DJ sets next year. The second pick on the list, The New Eve Is Rising by The New Eves, isn’t really a club album, although “Highway Man” does turn up in my sets at Underground, but it has become one of the albums I listen to most often at home. Check out the list below and let me know if you have any 2025 favorites that I should hear.

Best of 2025: Top 10 Albums

This Saturday night is Klub Nocturno at Catch One and, as of Friday morning, there are a few tickets left, so head over to Dice to get yours. Other events of note happening between now and Christmas Eve include Philosophical Research Society’s Santa Claus vs. The Devil screening tonight and their Ghost Stories for Christmas screening on Sunday and El Vez at the Lodge Room on Monday. Check out my recommendations on Beatique for info on these and other concerts, clubs and movie screenings happening in/around L.A. And, just a reminder, that tickets for Club Underground’s New Year’s Eve party, where both floors of the Grand Star will be open and Larry G. and I will be your DJs, are already on sale. Head over to Club Underground’s website to get yours.

That’s it for now. Happy Holidays and I hope to see you on the dance floor.
