Surprise! I'll Be DJing at Underground Tonight
Didn’t think I would be DJing this weekend, but, it turns out that I’ll be on on the controller at Underground tonight at Grand Star Jazz Club. Tickets are available now on Dice and Eventbrite. Plan to get there early and stay late for new indie, classic new wave, Britpop, darkwave and everything in between.
Check out these previous set lists from Club Underground:
The New Eves, Confidence Man and More of What You Heard at Underground on 8/22/25
New N8NOFACE, Ora the Molecule and More of What You Heard at Club Underground on 8/01/25
More New Sextile and Everything Else You Heard Upstairs at Club Underground, 7/18/25
Last week at Underground was a blast. I finally got around to playing “Gossip” from Confidence Man and Jade, as well as “Highway Man,” from a new U.K. band called The New Eves, whose album I picked up thanks to a Bandcamp review that referenced both The Slits and The Wicker Man.
Over the weekend, I went to the first VinylCon in L.A. and wrote a bit about it, but, mostly, the story is about staying open-minded and curious.

Hunx and His Punx are back with a killer new album, Walk Out on This World. Read the review on Beatique and then check it out for yourself. That’s it for now. See you on the dance floor.
