I'll Be DJing at Underground Tonight
This just in, I’ll be DJing at Underground at the Grand Star Jazz Club tonight, October 24. Larry G. is playing the first half of the evening and I’ll be on for the second half. Want to join us on the dance floor for a night of indie, darkwave, post-punk and more? The Grand Star is at 943 N. Broadway, inside Chinatown’s Central Plaza, and it opens at 9:30 p.m. This is a 21+ venue. You can get tickets at the door or buy them online.
Don’t forget to get your tickets for Club Underground’s Halloween Party next Friday. It tends to sell out in advance, so the sooner you get yours, the better.
On Saturday, November 1, I’ll be DJing with Klub Nocturno over at Catch One. Tickets are available now on Dice.
Right across the street from the Grand Star is Eastern Projects, where artists Billy Kheel and Pat Riot currently have a joint exhibition called Doubleplay. It’s a Dodger-heavy sports show with Kheel’s felt tapestries and Riot’s bubblegum portraits and it’s definitely worth checking out.
This week, I also wrote about attending the No Kings protest at Grand Park and why you should head to L.A.’s Piñata District for your Halloween shopping.
And I have a stack of band interviews nearly ready to go, so you’ll start seeing some of those next week.
That’s about it for now. Have a great weekend and I hope to see you on the dance floor tonight or over Halloween.
