π£ Nothing much happened here!!!!
STUFF THAT ARE WORTH YOUR READ
Oops π¬, numeric separator exists in JavaScript
Writing big numbers (eg 1000000) has always been a hectic run for software engineers, really confusing to start doing the zeros number in one’s brain unlike in the English language, one would have used the comma separator β¦but say no more.
100_000 + 10_000 // returns 110000 (PS: paste the operation in your console to experience it firsthand)
OMG π€, go forth and write separators in your big numbers henceforth
What the heck is about Fibonacci sequence
When I read computer science abstracts, Fibonacci is used as if everyone already gets it. Now you too can join the everyone-already.
Ternaries is better than the AND operator
Kent.C.Dodds pushed a bug at PayPal π±. OMG, the AND operator is the whole cause!!
CLUB’S UPDATE
Last week’s newsletter, we announced the dates for our meetups: Tomorrow, June 25th, and July 23rd next month.
Our next meetup on 23rd July was chosen to avoid a clash with the Saturdays that precede and succeeds the Id el Kabir celebration. So pardon us if it is that long.
The venue tomorrow is UI hotels, The University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
We created a WhatsApp group for alert and quick information purposes. This came as a consensus from the previous meetup. The reason is to serve as a quick channel to send information and ask questions regarding reaching the venue for our members, this could have quickly helped to communicate alternative routes to our venue during the last meetup gridlock. Please join the WhatsApp group
Some of the exciting things to expect tomorrow:
- quick introduction from new members only
- Networking break
- Announce our SCCs heads
- A minute time-bound game to explain a technical concept with a whiteboard π, among many others
