THE WEEK IN REVIEW

The Nigeria startup space have been receiving some back and forth recently. Although Hundeyin started the heat with the most celebrated of them all, Flutterwave. Things have gone down as founders, employees and people who are amidst these two have been at it exposing themselves.

Last week, one of the favourite and most celebrated dev and founder in Nigeria, Samuel Akinosho, was exposed and Iyin tweet was a confirmation.

Don't try searching 'Samuel Akinosho' on twitter because he has retrieved all his tweets.

Iyin's tweet about Samuel Akinosho

Before this recent event of Samuel Akinosho, there have been blind-expose of some founders with their identity hidden. But yesterday came with a face, as an article that claims to be in the process of exposing too was shared. This time, it is the big man, Jude (Polysaccharide Patriach) and his startup - Getequity.

CLUB UPDATE

There seem to be no agreed dates for our next meetups yet.

According to the meetings that was held last week with the backers, here are some of the conclusions.

  • Replace plans on bringing a monthly budget and instead make budget for the next 6 months meetups and activities.
  • That we have a GoFundMe account to allow for ease of raising funds outside Nigeria.

These conclusions would be worked on this week and the next, and we hope from next week we can announce a more stable meetup dates.
