If you don’t want to read the whole post, here is the last paragraph
“But whether you’re a knitter or not, share the story and the history. On February 26, 1942, red hats were banned by a government that feared dissent, that feared people who were willing to push back against its excesses. There’s an important lesson there. Dictators fear people who are willing to stand up for what’s right. Let’s make sure we’re those people.”
