Treasure Coast Indivisible Notes

Good morning

It was quite a weekend. Even the New York Times and Wall Street Journal are saying what a bust the Iran War was for the United States and doubting the “success” Trump is touting in signing a “MoU (memo of understanding) to end it.

However, today I am sending this email to encourage you to watch last night’s Rachel Maddow show with guest Marc Elias

Fast forward to the part with Elias where they talk about how the democrats are preparing for Trump’s attempt to derail the November elections.

What follows—especially the comments by Marc Elias—is confidence-inspiring. He outlines steps being taken by elected officials and voting rights groups to prepare for Trump’s efforts to steal the elections in 2026. He says that we areprepared on the legal front.

Rachel then asks, “And what is the role of Americans? Can they do anything?” Marc Elias says they can ensure they are ready to vote, educate themselves about the threats posed by Trump, and be prepared to take to the streets en masse to defend the election results, if need be. Which is exactly right.

And as Robert Hubbell always says “to protect elections the following: Win by overwhelming margins, which eliminates the opportunity to challenge the results in elections decided by a few hundred or a few thousand votes.”

I am not a regular watcher of Maddow. In fact I was watching the New Zealand/Iran World Cup match. But Robert Hubble said it was a Must Watch. So I did and you should try to also.

One more thing. Tonight is the meeting of St Lucie County Democrats @7:00 Temple Beth Israel, 551 S Bethany Dr, PSL

Monthly Meeting of the St. Lucie Democrats - DEC - St. Lucie County

And one one more thing

Tomorrow is Wednesday. Rally at Mast’s office 11-12. Join our stalwart crew.
