Good morning

I’m sure most of us remember where we were on Sept 11, 2001. I was just walking into my mother’s apartment and she was watching The Today Show. The day before I had been on a plane to visit her and as we flew by NYC, on a gorgeous fall day, the pilot pointed out the Twin Towers, beautiful on the skyline.

We couldn’t believe that terrorists, or anybody, could try to destroy the United States. Twenty five years later we are fighting our own government which is trying to destroy our democracy.

L’Shana Tova to those who celebrate. To those who don’t, may we all be inscribed in the Book of Life and this be the year we remake what democracy looks like.
