November 2025: Now We're Cookin'

Happy November, everyone! Here in Vancouver, the rains have fully arrived, the days have gotten painfully short, and it’s dark and wet always. November kind of sucks, but at least it makes it nice to be indoors. Let’s get into the update!
Monstrous Liberation Work
Lots of good progress was made on the next update this month! On my end, I’ve made a solid start on the script - I just passed 5,000 words, and am nearly done the introduction to the Scholar District. There’s some really fun stuff coming in this portion of the story - lots about this world’s ideas about magic and its place in society, and lots about magical creatures who’re a little weird even by the standards of magical creatures!
Pacha completed the sprite art for Vessel (the University of the Esoteric Art’s mimic custodian) and Charybdis (the University of the Esoteric Art’s experimental mermaid chimera), a sample of which you can see above! (If you’d like more detailed previews for Vulpes, Vessel, and Charybdis, you can see them over on Patreon or Subscribestar by signing up at the lowest pledge level!) These were some very challenging sprites, but I think Pacha knocked it out of the park with them.
Next month, Pacha will be getting started on the new splash art for our upcoming sex scenes, while I’ll keep grinding on the script. We should also be seeing new work from Gil (who’s handling backgrounds again) and Julian (who, in addition to returning for our item art, will be taking over from Diesel for the extra splash art). Lots to look forward to!
Sasha As Marketable Brand Icon
This month, Sasha made special guest appearances on a couple pieces of art commissioned by our label, Tinyhat!

Sasha’s first guest appearance comes in this splash for TinyHat’s 2025 Halloween sale!

And here’s her second, celebrating TinyHat’s fifth anniversary as a publisher of adult games! Aw!
Tourney Of Tyranny

Lastly, I wanted to share this rough cover for Tourney of Tyranny’s first chapter! This month I formatted the whole thing together with all of BlueParikeet’s illustrations, and it’s just about ready to go once he gets the final art together! I’m very excited for this project to be published, it’s extremely self-indulgent in a way that I’ve honestly found therapeutic. Looking forward to being able to share it with you all!
The Consumption Stumption
Playing 1: Like a great number of people worldwide, I’ve found myself putting a lot of hours into Game Freak’s Pokemon Legends: Z-A this month. I hit roll credits just a couple days ago and will be through with the post-game soon, and overall I’ve quite enjoyed my time with it. The Pokemon battles feel fast and fun, Lumiose city feels really good to explore, there are tons of fashions to adorn my character with, and Game Freak’s incredible character design work is on full display here. My one gripe is that the soundtrack falls a bit short of the extremely high standard I’ve come to expect from Pokemon games, but other than that I’ve been very happy with it.
Playing 2: Prior to Pokemon coming out, I had been playing through Brent Arnold’s Final Profit: A Shop RPG on my Steam Deck! I highly recommend giving this one a go if you at all enjoy shopkeeper games, as it’s a very fresh and sharp take on that entire genre. Very goofy, very unafraid to embrace its RPGMaker-ness for the sake of a joke, but also very smart.
Watching: I caught a screening of Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein and had an absolute blast with it. Absolutely stellar performance from Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz, but the crown has to go to Jacob Elordi’s turn as The Creature. That man knows how to play a Creature! Fantastic work from the props department, lighting, set, and soundtrack. I personally would have split it into two movies, given how sore my butt was after this flick’s two-and-a-half-hour runtime, but GDT’s the boss.
