May 2026: Locked & Loaded For Real This Time
Boy, don’t you just hate it when you make a big confident declaration of when a thing is supposed to happen and then it doesn’t? This is my way of saying that the person most irritated by the delay in the MonLib update launch is undoubtedly myself, because I really want to see everyone’s reactions to what we did this time! Aaa! Anyways, let’s get into the update.
Monstrous Liberation Work
On my end, I’ve been focused on getting things prepped for the update launch, which included posting three pieces of very self-indulgent promotional art to try and build some hype! I’ve also mostly completed the planning for the next update - all of the story beats have been mapped out and I’ve roughed out the new sex scenes - all that remains is for me to buckle down and bang out all the necessary reference material for Pacha.

Speaking of Pacha, she’s been at work on a redesign of Prim, our new dryad character! Prim is short for “Primrose”, but it’s ALSO short for “Primordial”. Looking over the initial concept we came up with, there were elements I enjoyed, such as the two pairs of arms, the flower-hair (when we actually make sprites of her, the flower is going to be its own layer that will go from budding to blooming to wilting to dying as a modifier of her state of mind), and the avant-garde fashion vibe. However, I felt as though the design was lacking in both a coherent “story” and also in overall monstrousness, so back to the drawing board.

Prim’s rework centres around two core pillars: nuns and carnivorous plants. I also wanted to give her more of a classic “fertility goddess” silhouette.

As you can see, we’ve made a pretty good start on the fertility goddess/nun aspects, but where’s the carnivorous plant bit coming in? You’ll just have to wait a bit to find out!
Adult Analysis Anthology
This is just a quick update: the fourth issue of AAA will be launching May 18th, alongside the next Monstrous Liberation update! This is solely due to impatience on my part, and my eagerness for everyone to see all the great stuff that’s inside. As with the previous issues, I’ll be posting the free-to-read web versions of each, one per week, on the BP Games blog. Of course, if you were one of the 70 people who supported the fundraiser (or the dozen-or-so people who purchased the preorder), you already have access to the full anthology, in which case I sincerely hope you enjoyed the read.
The Consumption Stumption
Watching: A friend added Maul: Shadow Lord to his Plex, and I greedily devoured the whole thing over the course of a day. It’s an unbelievably gorgeous show - the backgrounds have a painterly, smudged-watercolor quality to them, the lightsabers have never looked (or sounded) better, the score was popping, the fight choreo was blindingly tight, and Sam Witwer was simply put on this Earth to growl, shriek, moan, and rage as Maul. 10/10 series, can’t wait to get another season.
Playing: I don’t really know why, but I was recently compelled to pick up my 3DS and start a new file of Professor Layton & The Miracle Mask. I’ve loved the Layton games ever since Curious Village - there’s something about that caricature of an English gentleman and his thickheaded apprentice toddling through 150-odd brainteasers while the stupidest plotline ever unfolds around them that I find endlessly compelling. Very effective as a nighttime sleep aid as well - the puzzle-solving theme is terribly soporific.
