June 2025 Update: AAA3 Now Available!

Right up at the top: You can now support BP Games via Patreon! More details below!
Happy June, everyone! We’ve had a little bit of hot weather here so far, but otherwise summer is starting out a little bit cool. It’s also art market season here; I picked up some lovely pieces from the newly-minted Rain City Comic Con and Art Conbini! I love art! Let’s get into the update!
Monstrous Liberation Work
One of the valuable things about doing this monthly newsletter is that it keeps me from succumbing to self-flagellation over how little I feel like I’ve gotten done. Case in point: I had to spend a lot of time this month getting the 3rd issue of AAA ready for launch (more on that below), and was beating myself up for “slacking off” on MonLib in that time. However, looking back at last month’s update I see that the update script was at 22k then, and it’s at 31k now. 9,000 words in a month isn’t bad! I’m pretty confident that with AAA3 out of the way, I’ll be able to wrap up the script and move on to implementation by the time next month’s newsletter rolls around!
Things are trucking right along on the art front! Up at the top, you can see a shot from a scene Pacha finished this month, featuring Sasha and harpy watch officer Shrill! Don’t worry, they work it out. I’ve got the sketches for Shrill and Sasha’s second scene together in front of me right now, and it’s some good stuff, y’all. Look forward to a peek at that next month!

Diesel’s been a real champ this month, too. Despite a minor surgery slowing her down, she’s gotten back on the horse and has been producing amazing stuff! She finished up the Usurper-focused scene I teased last month, and has gotten started on the Hideout mini-scene art - a tiny snippet of which you can see above. What are Nadia and Regla up to, I wonder? Finally, she also knocked out a few pieces of art for the Patreon/SubscribeStar campaigns (again, more on that in a bit).

Finally, our third mystery artist chipped in to help out with the Patreon/SubStar setup by putting together this smart little banner for the pages!
Adult Analysis Anthology #3 Now Available!

That’s right! As of today, AAA3 is available to purchase and read! You can pick up the third issue on its own over on Itch, or you can get all three issues of AAA as a discounted bundle!
A LOT of work went into this issue! We had to make two goddamn fundraisers, for one thing (luckily, the second go-round was even more successful than I’d dared hope). And then, this time we had TWELVE essayists besides myself, our most ever! With all of their individual essays plus the two reviews I myself contributed, that brings us to a total of FOURTEEN essays, spanning OVER A HUNDRED pages, containing MORE THAN THIRTY THOUSAND WORDS about adult games and adult game culture! (Hopefully this makes it clear why I needed an extra week to get everything ready).
From The Blog
Technically speaking, I didn’t actually publish anything over on the blog this month due to being overwhelmed with work on MonLib, AAA3, and Patreon/SubStar setup. However, you can look forward to regular weekly posts for the next few months, because (just like with the previous two issues) all of AAA3’s essays will be coming to the BP Games blog, starting with Zoquete’s essay defending their erotic action game Deathblossom from the idea that having porn in it somehow lessens its impact as a piece of art! As with the essays from previous issues, these essays will go up on a weekly basis (I haven’t yet decided if the others will also go up on Mondays like this one, or if I’ll go back to posting them on Friday as I did with the ones from issues one and two. We’ll see!)
As for other blogging, I should have more time & bandwidth for more personal writing going forward now that AAA3 is in the can! This month I’d like to wrap up the Opportunity retrospective, as well as publish an interview I conducted a little while back, so look forward to that!
Patreon/SubscribeStar
Yes, I’m finally biting the bullet and setting up pages where people can kick us a few extra bucks a month if they feel like it! I’ve resisted doing this for a long time because the LAST time BP Games had a Patreon page we made basically No Money (our high-water mark was $40 CAD/month, I believe) and because I’d really rather not add to the already-daunting pile of things I need to keep on top of. However, I realized that I need to face the fact that not giving people this option is, at this point, almost certainly leaving a significant amount of money on the table. We’ve got a little bit of a following now and I’ve had several people straight-up ask for it, so I guess I’d better give the people what they want! No Discord server though.
In terms of what backing the pages will get you (beyond the warm, satisfied glow of helping small-time artists continue pursuing their passions), it’ll be a mix. There’s going to be a “tip jar” tier ($3 USD) that will basically just get you the same monthly dev updates you get from the newsletter or blog. Right above that will be a tier ($5 USD) that’ll give you an early look at NSFW art from upcoming updates, exclusive monthly sketches from Pacha, and the right to vote on what gets sketched next month. Above that ($10 USD), you’ll get access to the current build of Monstrous Liberation, and your name in the MonLib credits. Finally, at the very tippy top ($25 USD), you’ll get access to the entire BP Games library of works! As you might be able to tell, we’re trying to run this in such a way as to not generate too much extra work for ourselves - the point of this is to give us some extra support for all the work we’re ALREADY doing, not to heap an extra mountain of work on our shoulders. The Patreon page was literally JUST approved (reminder: you can support us HERE), but we’re still waiting on approval from SubscribeStar.
The Consumption Stumption
Playing 1: I’m still sack-deep in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. There’s so much game in this game, man. I’m about 80 hours in and have only attained 27/100 endings. There are so many other things to play right now. I got Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time but have barely played it because Hundred Line is so goddamn compelling. I’m going to take a break sometime soon because I’m starting to crave a different kind of gaming flavor but oh my god
Playing 2: You almost certainly don’t need me to tell you this, but Deltarune (chapters 1-4) dropped this month. It rips, but was there every any doubt? I’m currently waiting for it to be patched because there is some Fuckshit going on with the chapter 3 secret boss and I’m tilted.
Watching: Yesterday my best friend and I went over to the VIFF Centre for their screening of the 4K restoration of Masayuki Suo’s Shall We Dance?, which is just an absolute delight of a film. It was awesome seeing it on a big screen in crystal-clear definition with a bunch of people who hadn’t seen it before! If YOU haven’t seen it before, you owe it to yourself to check it out, it’s in a class of its own as a big-hearted romantic comedy. Do NOT look up the terrible early-2000s American remake starring Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez.
Wrapping Up
That does it for June’s update! Please let me know how you like AAA3! As always, thank you so much for following BP Games and enjoying the things we create!
