It’s becoming a routine at the start of these emails for me to apologise for the timing of its sending. In future, Sha has offered to take over the sending so they should arrive in a more timely manner.
The Roses - 17th March at 2pm
Join us on Monday 17th March for The Roses, a sharp, darkly funny new comedy starring Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch.
What starts as a picture-perfect marriage soon turns into a gloriously bitter battle of wills, with both sides trading insults, plotting revenge and behaving exactly as mature adults shouldn’t. With Olivia Colman on top form, it promises a very entertaining afternoon.
Please note: the film contains some strong language and mature themes, though nothing your average Bridget Jones veteran is likely to faint over.
As ever, you’ll find a warm welcome, friendly company, and tea and biscuits from 1:30pm before the film starts at 2pm. Tickets are £5. They can be purchased in advance online from The Lichfield Garrick box office on the phone at 01543 412121 or at https://aard.at/bwoodfilms, or with cash on the door.
Burntwood Afternoon Cinema is a project of the Burntwood Memorial Community Association (BMCA).
