Conclave - 20th May 2025 at 2pm

Step into the secretive world of the Vatican this May with our screening of "Conclave" - a masterful thriller starring the incomparable Ralph Fiennes as Cardinal Lawrence, charged with overseeing the election of a new Pope amidst scheming and intrigue. Directed with elegance by Edward Berger (of "All Quiet on the Western Front"), this sophisticated film delivers all the tension of a classic 70s conspiracy thriller with stellar performances from Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, and Isabella Rossellini. Critics are already predicting Oscar nominations for this gripping tale of power, faith, and unexpected twists.

We warmly invite you to join us on Tuesday, 20th May at 2pm at Burntwood Memorial Hall for this must-see film. As always, our doors open at 1:30pm for tea, biscuits, and friendly conversation before the show begins. Tickets remain just £5 - because we believe great cinema is even better when shared with friends and neighbours. We look forward to welcoming you for another wonderful afternoon at your community cinema!

You can buy online at https://aard.at/bwoodfilms, on the phone at 01543 412121, or in cash on the door.

The poster shows a white ballot paper being held up. Text includes "SUPERB - WILL HAVE YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT" and "ONLY ONE CAN SUCCEED" above the large gold title "CONCLAVE." The top lists the starring actors and notes it's from Academy Award winner Edward Berger.
