Fly Me to the Moon - 21st January at 2pm

Transport yourself back to the swinging sixties with "Fly Me to the Moon", starring Scarlett Johansson as a brilliant Madison Avenue advertising executive tasked with selling the space program to America. Set against the backdrop of the historic Apollo 11 mission, this stylish period piece features stunning mid-century costumes and a magnetic performance from Johansson alongside Channing Tatum. Perfect for anyone who remembers the excitement of the moon landing or enjoys classic Hollywood glamour, this nostalgic romp will take you behind the scenes of one of humanity's greatest achievements. Join us on Tuesday 21st January at 2pm, with tea and biscuits served from 1:30pm.

Tickets are Β£5, including your first tea/coffee and biscuits.

Other Memorial Hall Events

A promotional poster for the Boys' and Girls' Brigades' 2025 panto Aladdin.

The Girls’ and Boys’ Brigades annual pantomime happens at the end of January, with performances on the 31st then 1st, 7th and 8th of February.

Tickets are available from trybooking.com or in person on Sundays through January 2pm - 5pm at Burntwood Memorial Institute.


Magnolia Friends’ Memory CafΓ© restarts for 2025 on Thursday 9th January.

Every Thursday from 11am to 1pm, the Memory CafΓ© is a friendly and fun group for those living with memory problems and/or dementia and their carers.

Also, don't forget you can pick up a copy of the new, local free paper The Lichfield and Burntwood Independent from our entrance foyer.


Film showings are at Burntwood Memorial Hall, Rugeley Road, Burntwood, WS7 9BE. There is parking onsite, including disabled parking and wheelchair access via a permanent ramp.

We try to make our afternoon showings dementia and autism friendly. Volume levels are reasonable, the room is never completely dark and there is an interval around halfway through the film.
