The Miracle Club - 20th February 2024 at 2pm
This month's film is The Miracle club starring Maggie Smith and Kathy Bates - a comedy drama film about women from a small Irish town who want to go to Lourdes.
Doors open at 1:30pm and the showing will start at 2pm. The showing will be 110 minutes long including a 15 minute interval.
Tickets are £5, including your first tea/coffee and biscuits. (You are welcome to purchase more drinks for £1 each.)
You can purchase tickets on line or on the phone at 01543 412121. Tickets can then be collected on the door.
Or you can always pay on the door.
Showings are at Burntwood Memorial Hall, Rugeley Road, Burntwood, WS7 9BE. There is parking onsite, including disabled parking and wheelchair access via a permanent ramp.
We try to make our showings dementia and autism friendly. Volume levels are reasonable, the room is never completely dark and there is an interval around halfway through the film.

Name the Events
We've temporarily called these events "Burntwood Afternoon Cinema", but we're sure our fantastic community can come up with something better.
Do you have an idea? Let us know at an event or by reply email.
Showings for Men
The majority of people who attend our showings are women and the majority of films released are targeted more at a female audience than a male one.
However, we want to include our male residents as much as possible.
If we were to show films that were more suitable for a male audience, would you come?
For example, there's an upcoming film called "Battle over Britain" about a "young pilot called to join a flight while they wait for the call to scramble."
Our options are
- Include male oriented films in the usual schedule
- Organise separate showings for male-oriented films.
- Ignore male-oriented films unless they're likely to attract a reasonable female audience.
Please help us by either speaking to Paul T at a showing or completing our survey.
If you know anyone who might be interested in our Afternoon Cinema, why not forward this email to them? Then they can sign up for themselves.
Alternatively, you can follow us on BMCA's Facebook page.
We'd like to say thank you to our friends from the Burntwood Memory Café for their assistance running the events. They run a café at the Memorial Hall every Thursday from 11am to 1pm. If you would like to know more about the café, information will be available at the film showing.
We look forward to seeing you on the 20th February.
