Barnes & Noble Pre-Order Sale!
First, a hearty welcome to my new subscribers! I hope you had as much fun at the Barnes & Noble local authors even that I did.
And speaking of Barnes & Noble, are you aware that today and tomorrow they are offering a whopping 25% discount on pre-orders? I’m sure it has crossed your mind that I have a book available for pre-order. Some of you may still have holiday gift cards, even. It feels like Fate, doesn’t it? (One day, some day, they will be able to handle the accent on my name.)
But fie, I hear some of you say, on big box book stores! What’s going on with the local scene? Well, of course you can pre-order the book at your local independent bookstore, or through Bookshop.org. I encourage it.
And speaking of indie stores, I am doing a “Galentine’s Sip and Shop” a week from tonight (that’s February 13th, God willing and the snow doesn’t muck it up) at The Next Chapter Bookstore in Quincy, MA. And if you go, you have a chance of snagging a pretty bookmark or one of my flash stories as a bonus.

I hope to see some of you there. The bookstore is a neat one.
Before I leave you, I want to drop some information specifically for the authors out there. You may be aware of the current torrent of dangerous government nonsense we in the US are experiencing now. It’s impossible to deal with all of it, so I am staying focused on the written word. In that spirit, I have joined Authors Against Book Bans. Their website… needs work. But the group is passionate and has a Discord with plenty of calls to action.
Those of you who aren’t authors? Go visit your public library. Write to your representatives, even the ones you think will vote “the right way.” Take in some art, or theater. (I just saw a local production of Hadestown.)
Take care of yourselves, and each other,
