& The Autumnal Changes

It’s been a while! Did you miss me? Chances are you probably forgot about this. I said I’d send a new letter on August yet here we are, 3 months later.

Is it because I forgot until now? Nope! In fact, I was too aware that I had to send it!! My own sword of Damocles (and you think: “that isn’t how you use that expression”. And to that I say: ssshh).

To the point. This letter won’t be as long as the others, but it is not less important! Just like the seasons, I bring changes.

Last time I mentioned I wasn’t sure where I’d share The Trek when I’m finally done with it, due to the whole thing going on with the payment processors + every single annoying person in power trying to censor the internet.

I did say that if everything else fails, I can just upload the thing on my website (either somehow put the Twine file there or as simple html/css). That’s my last resort.

I’ve decided I’ll still upload it to itchio, despite everything. That said, I’ve learned that I can upload it to Newgrounds (nobody asked: yes I have a NG account but I barely use it). I don’t know why I didn’t think of that site before, considering how many classic Internet games are stored there. That is my new plan: Newgrounds + itchio. And if that doesn’t work, I’ll put it on my website.

Now that is clear, there’s something else I want to talk about.

This newsletter has been monthly until now (in theory lol). That’s to say, every month you got one of these. I never did a newsletter before, I learned some stuff along the way and sadly all of you had (have?) to endure my growing pains.

Long story short, I’m changing the schedule.

Instead of sending a letter each month, I’m going to do it bimonthly. Since this project is mostly writing, I don’t have a lot to report monthly. With this change, I’m hoping I can deliver more news!

I’m also going to start saying when the next newsletter is at the end of each one, so there aren’t any doubts.

Welp, that’s all I have to say this time. Alas no actual news about the development, very sorry. But I didn’t want to bloat this mail with a massive wall of text.

Next letter should be on… [checks calendar] January. We shall meet again next year, my liege.
