& Dammit I Missed it
Yes, I know. I missed May’s letter. I thought I already sent it, the guilt haunts me. Gonna blame my sick mind for this (literally sick, I had a cold most of May). I will send two this month; one meant for May (the one you’re reading right now), and the one meant for this month.
Anyway! Last time I mentioned some of the characters from The Trek. Well, today I’m talking about one of them. The main character herself: Anaïs Knight.
This lady has gone through quite the changes over time. Such as her name: Jesse, Elise, JoJo (short for Joanna), Billie… the list kinda goes on. I don’t know why I just couldn’t pick just one. She’s just one of those OCs that any name fits them, I reckon.
And of course, her design has changed a lot as well. I confess that I still like the old design, even if it wasn’t easy for me to draw :p

Before I continue, I MUST clarify that those aren’t eyebags on the current Anaïs—just eye markings. The fact that they look like eyebags is just a funny coincidence (or is it).
About Anaïs herself, I can share a few things. We’re here for that, after all.
The Anaïs the reader (you) meets during the story is one that is currently dealing with loss. Not long afterwards, she got the Letter™. These events were what gave her the will to get a trailer, and that’s where she lives now. She didn’t grab many things from the old home before she left, besides things like clothes and other basics. The most important thing that she owns is a guitar. Well, she also brought a banjo, since it was a birthday present!
Drive, play music, exist. It wasn’t that long this new lifestyle started for her. But the letter she got has interrupted that routine, and admittedly, broken the haze of numb grieving. If only until her curiosity is satisfied.
That’s everything I can offer for now! Wanting to share about your characters so people care about them yet not revealing too much lest you leave them no reason to check the story… it’s a tough balance.
I’m so used to keeping things to myself in regards to original content, I struggle sometimes deciding what to share with y’all. Maybe because I know there are people reading these, instead of just posting it online? Perhaps this is the pressure bigger creatives talk about. But I don’t mind, it’s fun.
Alright, I think that’s enough from me for now. See you later this month :]
