Hello lovely people!
Yes, again, it's been a long time since I sent out a newsletter. So much has been going on, and I've been forgetting to write it all down. Let's just pretend we're all caught up, yes?
One of the many things keeping me busy has been leaving twitter behind, and posting almost exclusively on mastodon. You can find me there on
vis.social and
artatomic.social. The artatomic instance is a solo instance with just me, and I post more about my art there than on vis.
I've also been busy with my StickersAndStamps project. Sign ups have slowed down a lot, so I'm sending letters and stickers out less frequently. But the project is still going, and I have a lot of data to process and visualize.
And yes, I've been drawing, a lot. Mostly with ink and my glass dipping pen. But also with code. At the beginning of this year, I participated in the Genuary Creative Coding challenge, and I wrote about each piece on Medium:
A Month of Daily Creative Coding: Notes from my Genuary 2023
If you're not on Medium, here's a "
friend-link".
And I've also been getting ready for some in-person events that are coming up really fast.
Upcoming Events:
Sept 3, 2023 - SF Zine Fest
I'll be bringing some of these cute little micro-zines with me. I only have about 20 of the origami packets, and a few more of the zines. I'll also be bringing a bunch of my original drawings, and some of my pins.
If you can get there, be sure to bring a mask because masks are required. I'm listed on the map as ArtAtomic.

Sept 24, 2023 - Noe Valley Art Festival (San Francisco)
This one is going to be fun! It's an outdoor event, also in San Francisco.
I'll be bringing bigger pieces to this one, in addition to my small drawings. I have a lot more space to display the works.
Here's what my booth looked like last year:
October 20-22 (TBD) - Bay Area Maker Faire
I *think* I'm scheduled for this weekend of the Maker Faire, which is taking place over two weekends this year. It's so wonderful to have this amazing event back again.

I still need to work out some details for this one.
