Wow! It's been a long time since I last wrote an edition of this newsletter. I really need to get better at sending these out more than 3 times a year. But I certainly slowed down over these years of Covid.
One fun thing I've been working on recently is an experiment with the Electric Zine Maker. The results are so very cute!
If you'd like one,
sign up for my #StickersAndStamps project and mention "#inkyDays zine" in the comment field and I'll mail one to you.
These will be very small batch. Unless, by some miracle, they become super popular. Even then, they'll be small batch.
There is also an online interactive version, in full color, on my
itch.io site.
Cell Biology Candy
My little kickstarter was a great success. If you were one of my backers, thank you so much!
I still have some of the candy left, and they are now available in my
etsy shop.
#StickersAndStamps Project
The project continues, though sign ups have slowed down a lot. If you're interested in the project, please invite friends and family to help collect data on mail delivery times.
In celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth, I've purchased a whole bunch of stamps honoring the world famous sculptor
Edmonia Lewis. I'll be using these stamps until I run out of them.
#Genuary2022 Generative Art Challenge
During the month of January, I participated in a creative coding challenge with daily prompts. I jumped around the prompts, and worked on them out of order...or as they inspired me. Some of what I produced was uninspiring, to be kind, but some of it still makes me happy to look at. So, all in all, it was a worthy endeavor. They're all posted on my
Patreon.
Here are some of my favorites:
SciArtBot!
My experiment with creating a Twitter bot to promote the appreciation for Art, Science, Code and combinations of these. It's really just a twitter account that I've written some python code that allows me to post by running it from my command line instead of the web or app.
If you're on Twitter, you can follow the bot here: https://twitter.com/SciArtBot
